Abstract

With a growing population and an ongoing climate crisis, the World Economic Forum has called attention to the need to exploit  existing innovations in the industrial sector to cope with the scenario of more than 9 billion humans on the planet by 2050. In  particular, it seems increasingly necessary to start a path that allows us to reduce the use of non-human animals for food purposes. The development of “cultured meat” seems to respond to this need.
