Environmental crisis and gender issues
Keywords:
Climate crisis, Gender issuesAbstract
We live in the midst of an evident environmental and climate crisis, which we try to cope with every day and for which, unfortunately, we must accept responsibility. In the face of disaster, our environmental awareness matures and there are more and more attempts we make in the hope of emerging unscathed from this state of crisis. Women seem to be particularly virtuous in this, inclined to care for the environment to a greater extent than men. An idea resulting from the socialization of biological sex, gender, on the basis of which an attitude of domination by men over women has been justified for centuries. The exaltation of the feminine
could be nothing but the umpteenth strategy of the patriarchal power to regenerate itself. The environment would not benefit from maintaining such a characterized gender difference, because there would never be a convergence of solutions such as to bring the whole human species (men and women together) towards the exit from the crisis.
