Pulicidae
Abstract
In this column, we present one zoological family group at a time, as an example of animal variety. The family is a taxonomic unit containing a set of species having certain characteristics in common, the result of evolution, which testify to the origin from a single progenitor. This "portrait" is dedicated to Pulicidae, belonging to the order Aphaniptera (also called Siphonaptera), which includes 2600 species and subspecies.
