Abstract

Mutualism is essentially a kind of unwritten agreement between two or more species, in this case animals, which derive mutual benefits from coexistence. The birds on the backs of African mammals, feeding on parasitic insects, free their hosts from quite a nuisance! Even underwater, during a dive, it is possible to witness cases of mutualism between animal species. And even in these cases, it is clear that both protagonists benefit from each other.
