Abstract

In this section, we present a zoological family group at a time, which is an example of the animal variety. The family is a taxonomic unit containing a myriad of species that have in common certain characteristics, the fruit of evolution, which testify to the origin of a single progenitor. This “portrait” is dedicated to Salticidae, belonging to the vast Arachnida class, order Araneae (ragni), of which we know about 50,000 living species.
