Abstract

Humanity is on the verge of an abyss: it would be the first living species to prepare its own self-destruction, which among other things is also leading to the extinction of countless other living species, as well as the devastation of the natural environment. The epochal threats can schematically be traced back to two main ones, both the work of human society, developed by that homo who defined himself with great presumption as sapiens, even emphasizing sapiens sapiens, for that modernity of which he is proud, which however has the other side of the inhuman exploitation of a considerable part of his fellow humans and of nature for profit.
