The complexity of climate negotiation: COP26

Abstract

The article takes stock of COP26, analyzing its premises, the very different expectations of observers and the results, some important (among others, the commitments to reduce climate-changing emissions and the agreement between China and the USA), others more disappointing. Ultimately, it can be said with certainty that some progress has been made, but certainly still insufficient to avoid that sudden change of state of the biosphere system which could turn the Earth into a very inhospitable environment.
