Gang Science

Abstract

For some time now, the practice of publishing in high-profile scientific journals, which therefore lend themselves to the game, articles signed by a very large number of authors - even hundreds - attacking the author(s) of some article, published after a regular peer review process, whose theses they do not share, has taken hold in the world of science. This practice, which we consider unbecoming, has been defined as gang science. In this article, R.J. Warren takes up the discussion already advanced in a 'letter' to Nature.
