Abstract

Environmental emergencies and pandemics have many features in common: they are both "invisible" initially, with fairly long "incubation periods" (weeks in the case of the disease, decades in that of the climate and pollution crisis), they are totally pervasive because they concern every area of the planet, are both more lethal on fragile populations. Finally, we can both observe that they provoke reactions of denial in parts of society with specific political and gender orientations. Reactions ranging from simple repression to explicit obscurantist and conspiracy denialism.
