Abstract

The article highlights the relationship between the anatomical lexicon used by Leonardo da Vinci and the medical tradition that preceded him. In particular we focus on the galenisms, that is on those terms that derive from the Galenic medical tradition and that are still preserved in the Florentine language of the XV and XVI centuries.
