Mapping the Legal Writings of Norberto Bobbio

The present paper identifies and analyses seven main lines of research in Bobbio’s legal philosophical work: 1) studies on analogy; 2) theoretical and metatheoretical studies on legal science; 3) studies on natural law and legal positivism; 4) the foundation of deontic logic in Italy; 5) the general (or “formal”, in Bobbio’s terminology) theory of law; 6) Kelsenian studies; 7) studies on the history of legal thought.
