Based on the observation of the lack of tact in certain statements made by contemporary psychoanalysts, the article examines the different meanings of the concept from Freud to Luce Irigaray. Based on the paradoxes inherent in the concept of tact, the text proposes a shift from a phallocentric visual paradigm to a reference to touch and mucous membranes in order to think about speech under transference.
