The paper focuses on the impact of the via Annia-Popilia on the northern part of modern Calabria. For this purpose, all data that highlight changes in the settlement’s and economic systems are taken into consideration. More in particular, the archaeological data acquired in the last decades for the period between IVth and Ist century B.C. are used, in order to point out the changes made by the Roman Road building. Thank’s to other sources, the paper proposes a new reconstruction of the via Regio-Capuam and a different localization of the statio Interamnio. It laslty tries to outline the relationship between the via Annia-Popilia and its italic precursor.
