Colpa e diritto nella produzione tragica del V secolo sul mito dei Sette a Tebe
Keywords:
Aeschylus, Sophocles, Euripides, Seven against ThebesAbstract
The paper analyses the different ways in which Aeschylus, Sophocles, and Euripides treated the myth of the Seven against Thebes: the strategies vary from polar oppositions (Eteocles, for example, is idealized by Aeschylus and demonized by Euripides) to progressive gradation (see for instance the theme of Polyneices’ responsibilities and possible extenuating circumstances).
