Against Raz on authority, autonomy, and rationality

In this article, I first argue that the necessity to solve coordination problems in the wide sense does not imply the necessity of a legitimate Razian authority. Second, I claim that the Razian conception of a legitimate authority is incompatible with a plausible conception of rationality and autonomy.
