Abstract

This paper describes the sovereign figure of the outside through the reflections of Canetti, Oury, Deligny, Derrida, in order to achieve the space of a possible hospitality policy. Canetti’s anti-individualist reading on the mass instinct allows us to question the social bond beyond any anthropocentric reduction. The line crossing the “between-two” reveals a “sub-jacency” of a third, that deconstructs all the institutional fields, thereby exposing us to a language of becoming that crosses all differential articulations. Starting from the man/animal opposition, it is the unknown, meant as outside of difference, that drives our action, beyond any planned strategy of doing, leading us towards the radicality of a “cosmosophy” that needs to be thought yet.
