The Sapienza Museum of Etruscan and Italic Antiquities holds a collection of 61 watercolour plates made by Elio d’Alessandris between 1911 and 1912, 52 of which depict the wall paintings of the tombs of Tarquinia, 4 of the Golini I tomb in Orvieto and 5 of the Tomb of the Monkey in Chiusi. Mariolina Cataldi’s interest in the subject of copies of funerary paintings prompts us to return to this collection, whose Catalogue was edited by Luciana Drago.
