Abstract

For almost fifteen years we had the opportunity to share important research experiences in Tarquinia with Mariolina Cataldi. This chance has been for us not only a great moment scientifically and humanly speaking, but has also led to the acquisition of new key elements about the knowledge of the Etruscan walls and the pre-existing structures in the area, as well as about the review of some important data relating to the evolution of the Temple of the Ara della Regina, particularly concerning the complex reconstruction of the architectural structure of the terrace. Our paper aims to retrace the main stages of this scientific journey, in memory of an archaeologist and a person of great depth, who marked a fundamental season in our lives.
