The conference on climate change and the energy question

Abstract

There are no big news to announce for COP27 compared to the previous ones. The positive and main note is that of having led to the establishment of the global Loss and Damage fund which provides for compensation for the countries most exposed to climate change. But no agreement was achieved on the issue of phasing out fossil fuels from the economies of UN member countries. If we want to protect the planet and above all humanity, we need to make an energy transition from fossil fuels to renewables. The energy transition implies a cultural revolution that affects all organizational levels of our society and has profound economic and political effects. What we have before us is a decisive decade for the overtaking and total affirmation of renewable sources of energy production over fossil ones.
