What kind of math education in kindergarten and childhood?

Abstract

The book Mathematics 0-6 edited by Maria G. Bartolini Bussi, full professor of Mathematics Education at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, and two pedagogical coordinators, Patrizia Rilei and Francesca Botti, is an authentic innovation in the mathematic education research. It collects the main results of a research-training process over a six-year period in infant-toddler centers and kindergarten in the Municipality of Modena and explains how we can talk about mathematics as knowledge to teach in the 0-6 segment.
