Abstract

On Friday 13 May 2022, at the Gipsoteca di Arti Antiche of the University of Pisa, the study day "Marcello Buiatti: a legacy for the future" was held to remember the geneticist and environmentalist, who has always been a collaborator of our magazine, who passed away in October 2020. The initiative retraced the various aspects of Marcello Buiatti's scientific research and political and human commitment, with numerous testimonies full of emotions and rich contributions from those who had the opportunity to learn, study, collaborate with he. In this issue we publish some interventions, confident that the fruits of his legacy will be well preserved for a long time.
