Abstract

From international tests on reading skills, critical issues emerge as the age of students increases: therefore the most important work is done at school to overcome them. Research in cognitive neuroscience indicates the most suitable time from 5 to 10 years to begin
learning deep reading and to counteract the deconcentration from this task produced by digital means of communication.
