Editorial Team

For the editorial production process, the journal relies on four separate bodies: (1) the Editorial Management, (2) the Editorial Board, (3) the Scientific Committee and (4) the International Scientific Council. The Editorial Management is responsible for the overall editorial process, the transparency of the peer review process and the publication of individual articles.
In accordance with the Ethics Statement, the Editorial Management ensures that all actors involved in the review and production process fulfil their obligations. The Editors are responsible for the initial evaluation of submissions, which is based on the completeness of the material provided, scientific integrity and compatibility with the journal's scientific objectives, and possible conflicts of interest. The editors are responsible for deciding whether to initiate the review process, whether to skip it (in cases where the author(s) are among the highest authorities in the field), or to reject the proposal. The normal decision-making process is carried out in collaboration with the Editorial Board (see below).

The editorial management call on the scientific committee for suggestions on possible topics, research areas and contributors to the journal, and for the double-blind peer review of texts proposed for publication. The journal also employs external reviewers for this purpose. All reviewers are selected from among the leading national and international experts in the field.

The role of the International Scientific Board is to guarantee the scientific prestige of the journal. Its members are not involved in the editorial process of the issues. In the event that a member of this board is asked to act as an anonymous reviewer, their function is assimilated to that of the Scientific Committee.

The Editorial Board assists the management in the design of the journal's issues and the organisation of the peer review process, and also performs secretarial and editorial functions. Members of the Editorial Board may not be involved in the peer review process as reviewers, except in cases where these members are considered to be the leading experts on a particular topic.

In some cases, the editors may appoint other scholars to edit an entire issue or monographic sections. In such cases, the Editors will discuss  with the Guest Editor(s) the issue (or monographic section) outline and the list of contributors proposed by the Guest Editor(s), while remaining responsible for the editorial decisions in accordance with the character, technical and financial compatibility, and objectives of the journal. The technical processing of the issue will be carried out by the Editorial Office (in collaboration with the Guest Editor) according to the usual rules (peer review, editing, etc.).
